As December rolls around, so do the holiday treats, and while a sweet treat is always great in moderation, these Sugar Cookie Protein Bites are perfect to curb your holiday sweet tooth. These cookie-inspired snacks offer the sweet taste of a holiday classic with a healthy twist, plus they will fuel your body and are packed with protein! Whether you’re prepping for a holiday party or need a quick pick-me-up between shopping trips, these protein bites will satisfy your cookie cravings and keep you feeling merry and bright!

 

Sugar cookie protein bites

 

INGREDIENTS

  • 1 cup almond or cashew butter
  • ½ cup maple syrup
  • ½ cup vanilla protein powder
  • 1 ½ cups oat flour
  • ¼ tsp salt
  • ½ tsp vanilla extract
  • ¼ tsp almond extract
  • 1-2 tbsp milk of choice (just enough to bring the mixture together)
  • Optional: Sprinkles or 2 tbsp cinnamon for snickerdoodle protein bites

INSTRUCTIONS

  1. In a large bowl combine all of the ingredients and mix until fully combined.
  2. Using a small cookie scoop, scoop and roll dough into about 1 inch balls.
  3. Place in a covered storage container and place in the refrigerator.
