If you want an ADHD evaluation and possibly medication or therapy, you are in luck, even when you lack local resources.
Before Co-vid any adult wanting an evaluation, diagnosis and medical treatment for their ADHD needed at least one in-person visit with a physician before having follow-up visits via telehealth. But Co-vid made the requirement for in-person meetings unrealistic, and the world changed.
So far, in spite of discussions, it hasn’t changed back which is good for us. An adults can get evaluated, diagnosed and treated via telehealth with no prior in-person visit.
A number of companies provide ADHD telehealth for adults. Do a search to locate these companies.
There are also starting to be psychologists who provide virtual ADHD evaluations of children, even when the child resides in another state. To obtain medication you still need work with an instate medical provider. (Learn about these online providers at www.FINDtheADHDgirls.org)
