Award-winning reading glasses company read on announced their participation at Mido 2025 as they embark on a scaling of the business and significantly increase their point-of-sale network. By February 2025, the patented reading product read on light will already be available in 20 countries: Switzerland, USA, Canada, Mexico, Belgium, Germany, Austria, Italy, France, Spain, Portugal, Greece, Sweden, Hong Kong, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Taiwan, Korea, Japan and Australia.
This distribution has been achieved in 12 months since their read on light product was first launched at Mido last year. It follows the successful procurement of the US and EU patents which cover the design and folding temples of read on light.
“read on has come a long way in 12 months since the launch of read on light and we are very driven to embark on a scaling up of production and global distribution in 2025. The feedback from optical and specialty retail is especially exciting at this point and we are fully committed to making read on light available everywhere,” Sandra Kaufmann, Co-Founder, read on.
Expanding international distribution and worldwide sales: At present, read on is focusing on B2B for optical and specialty retailers such as bookstores, pharmacies, design stores, and museum shops, selling online and in brick-and-mortar stores. The company works with local agents and distributors and in the US, the product can be purchased directly through Amazon. Since the market launch, the products have been available through read on’s own online store at https://www.readon-mobile.com
