As the new year begins, many people choose to take a break from alcohol during Dry January, a month-long challenge that promotes healthier habits and a reset for the body. If you’re participating, these three delicious, alcohol-free recipes will keep your taste buds satisfied and your spirits high, proving you don’t need alcohol to enjoy a fun, flavorful drink.

 

 

Blood Orange Spritzer 

INGREDIENTS 

  • 3 oz. blood orange juice 
  • 2 oz. ginger beer 
  • 1/2 oz. fresh lemon juice 
  • Sliced blood orange, sliced ginger, and fresh mint, for serving

DIRECTIONS

  1. Fill a rocks glass with ice.
  2. Add blood orange juice, ginger beer, and lemon juice and gently stir to combine.
  3. Garnish with a sliced blood orange, ginger, and mint.

 

 

Cranberry Basil Sangria

INGREDIENTS

  • 3 cups cranberry juice 
  • ½ cup orange juice 
  • 1 canned seltzer 
  • 1 sliced orange 
  • 1 sliced apple 
  • ⅓ cup frozen cranberries 
  • ¼ packed basil leaves 
  • Ice

DIRECTIONS

  1. Pour the cranberry juice, orange juice, and seltzer into a pitcher.
  2. Add the fruit slices and basil.
  3. Stir together, then pour into individual glasses. 

 

 

Sweet Adeline

INGREDIENTS

  • ¼ cup fresh pomegranate juice 
  • 1 tbsp cinnamon syrup 
  • 1 teabag orange-and-spice blend black tea 
  • ½ to ¾ cup hot water 
  • Cinnamon stick 

DIRECTIONS

  1. Pour the pomegranate juice and cinnamon syrup into a mug.
  2. Add the teabag and pour in the hot water.
  3. Let it sit as long as the specific tea recommends, then remove the teabag.
  4. Stir and garnish with the cinnamon stick.
