For young patients in their late teens and early 20s, seeking aesthetic changes in line with their TikTok-scrolling generation, pearly white smiles are in rising demand.
“I see a lot of young patients. It’s just my patient demographic,” said Dr. Sunny Verdi. While dentists like Dr. Verdi may suggest orthodontics or interdisciplinary treatment, young patients often persist in their request for an “immediate” solution.
“But they’re like, ‘I really want something right now.’”
Traditional veneers, which involve shaving the teeth, are considered invasive for this demographic.
“They’re so young that sometimes just the thought of preparing the enamel can be overwhelming. Even though we do a lot of porcelain veneers and are super minimally invasive, always respecting the biology of the teeth,” he said.

“This is why I find digitally created composite veneers so useful,” he added. “They allow us to achieve the results young patients want in a way that fits their budget. And because we’re not preparing the teeth, it’s easier for them to get started. It makes them feel good, and it makes me feel great because we’re seeing excellent results without having to be invasive. I’m a big fan.”
