Jupiter Retrograde in Gemini

Welcome to our annual Jupiter retrograde, which begins on October 9, 2024, and takes place in the air sign of Gemini.

As a planet shifts into a retrograde motion, its reverberation moves from outward and expressive to inward and reflective. Instead of expressing through us into the tangible world, it concentrates on what lies within us—our narratives, our emotions, our perspectives, and our underworld. This time of introspection invites review, inner listening, and realignment.

Our planet of abundance and expansion, Jupiter has been in Gemini since May of this year. As it turns backward in this same sign, we revisit where we have jus been. We are about to review the last five months and all that we have experienced as Jupiter moved forward through Gemini.

We reflect on our relationship with our intellect. We’re looking at how our thoughts influence us and shape our lives. And we’re questioning the information, ideas, perspectives, and narratives that we have taken in. What lens do we desire to see the world through? With all this new information and perspectives that Gemini brought us, what is true to us?

This retrograde is a beautiful time to explore our understanding of truth and wisdom, be in conversation with our inner knowing, and create the space to realign our vision for what’s to come.

Pluto Direct in Capricorn

The transition of Pluto, which spends in between 11 and 30 years in each zodiac sign, always brings major change. We have been in a transitory space, both collectively and individually, since March 2023. During this time, we have been dancing between two major eras. This week, we meet our final stage of the dance.

Pluto finishes its retrograde on October 11, 2024, and takes its final moments forward in Capricorn for more than 230 years before it enters Aquarius on November 19, 2024. It will remain here until 2043.

Our planet of transformation, death, and rebirth, Pluto is the unconscious. It is the knowing from within our bodies. It is the unseen, the mystery, and the hidden within and without ourselves. As the planet finishes its retrograde, it moves from inward to outward, where we are invited to begin taking action, creating change, and realigning ourselves and our lives based on our introspection, transformation, and revelations made throughout its backward movement the last five months.

The days between now and November 19 hold space for tremendous release. We are closing doors and finalizing chapters. We are meeting completions and letting go of identities. We are saying goodbye to a version of ourselves that we have been living within since Pluto entered Capricorn in 2008.

Weekly Horoscope for October 6-12

As Jupiter begins its backward spin, a review is taking place, one that desires a deeper understanding of your truth, perspectives, and relationship with your mind. With Pluto moving forward once again, we meet ourselves after walking through transformation and transition. This realignment is ready to be realized as who we are in the world, rather than kept inwardly just for us.

Allow yourself flexibility within your sense of identity, your understanding of yourself and the world, and what you desire. The more flexibility you allow, the more you can surprise yourself. There is more of you that you are ready to meet. Your weekly horoscope can help.

Aries Rising

This week invites both inner reflection and outward change. It brings a review of the beliefs, ideas, perspectives. It asks you to explore what your truth it and what life means to you. And it invites change and transformation in your career, long term visions, and desires.

Taurus Rising

What does safety feel like in your body? What about truth? Worthiness? How have your beliefs changed? How can you honor those beliefs in your outer life? Realignment is awaiting you. This week is just the beginning.

Gemini Rising

As Jupiter begins its retrograde in your sign, it brings with it an invitation to slow down. To observe how silence feels. To reflect and review instead of learn and assimilate. This week holds inner transformation, renewed intuition, and opportunities for empowerment. Only if you create the space for it all.

Cancer Rising

What is the sacred? What is the divine? What is that all-encompassing something of which we are all a part? Instead of seeking new information and ideas, this week invites you to turn inward for your own answers and listen. And it brings transformation in how you relate, collaborate, connect and come into partnership with others.

Leo Rising

There is something ready to change in your life. The way you live within your days. The routines that support you. The way you relate to community. Your sense of belonging in this collective body. Your idea of the future. Your weekly horoscope sparks it into motion.

Virgo Rising

You are here to create. There are visions you are here to build with consistency, commitment, and practicality. This week highlights these truths and brings a review to your long-term plans. Where do you want to go? It also invites you to reclaim your self-expression. What lives within you that is ready to be brought into the world?

Libra Rising

Safety, belonging, truth, roots. Transformation has been moving through the very core of who you are since 2008, and this week initiates the final moments of this while initiating a review of your understanding of life and your place within it. Bring flexibility to your sense of who you are and your vaster beliefs.

Scorpio Rising

How do you feel within intimacy, vulnerability, and the unknown? This week initiates a review of these spaces. It invites a deep surrender into your own knowing and intuition. It also brings forward an entirely new world within your mind that shifts your beliefs, ideas, and perspectives. You’re being realigned and prepared for a new chapter ahead.

Sagittarius Rising

How has your relationship with your body changed during recent months? With the way safety, worthiness, and value feel? What about your finances, resources, and inner and outer security? This week brings endings to the transformation taking place within these spaces while also inviting reflection on how you relate to and come together with others.

Capricorn Rising

There are chapters that are coming to an end, including who you believe yourself to be, how you move through the world, and what access you have to your own depths. All of this has been moving through immense transformation. This week, invite release, endings, and letting go.

Aquarius Rising

This week invites a reflection of your creative expression, happiness, and how this all connects with the sacred itself. A new chapter is beginning soon when Pluto enters your sign. Until then, allow things to come to a close. Allow versions of yourself to release.

Pisces Rising

Your weekly horoscope invites inner reflection. A review of your mind and all that lives within it—the narratives, ideas, and perspectives that were never yours, taken on during your formative years. And it invites a new way of relating to community, the collective body from which we are all a part and deeply belong to.
