To bridge the gap between academia and practice, the University of Toronto Faculty of Dentistry has joined 123Dentist as the latest partner in its University Student Series, a national platform aimed at advancing dental education and mentorship.
In a press release, 123Dentist announced that the University of Toronto has joined other top Canadian universities in the program, including the University of British Columbia (UBC), University of Saskatchewan (U of S), University of Alberta (U of A), and McGill University.
“Student learning is at the core of our mission, and the support from 123Dentist towards this aim is greatly appreciated,” said Dr. Laura Tam, D.D.S., M.Sc., interim dean of the Faculty of Dentistry at U of T.
Series launched in 2020
Launched in 2020, the 123Dentist University Student Series connects dental students across multiple provinces with industry leaders, providing mentorship and practical training on key skills required for professional success.

Through partnerships with Canada’s top universities, we are fostering a culture of knowledge sharing and excellence that directly benefits students and the communities they will serve,” said Ali Bozorgzad, executive vice-president of 123Dentist.
123Dentist is one of Canada’s largest dental support organizations, with over 400 partner clinics and a network of more than 1,700 dentists nationwide. The organization also offers flexible partnership models, including options for dentists to retain clinic ownership.
